America’s Got Talent LD Miller update

L.D. Miller and his harmonica already have left their stamp on stages, CDs and television.

The talented 13-year-old will soon be on DVD. Miller and Blues Traveler frontman John Popper met during NBC’s America’s Got Talent run last summer and have continued their friendship. The two recently performed “Home on the Range” for an upcoming Sesame Street DVD release of country songs reworked for children, said Tammy Miller, L.D.’s mother and manager.

She added that L.D. and Popper were taped at the Queens County Farm Museum in New York City. They sang and wailed on their harmonicas among the bales of hay and kids feeding goats and other farm animals. The DVD is set for sometime in 2007.

L.D. also sat in with Blues Traveler during an Oct. 13 concert at Earlham College in Richmond.

L.D.’s main gig with his brothers and father in the Clayton Miller Band also is causing a buzz. The band will be recording with producer Mark Selby in Nashville, Tenn. Selby has worked with numerous national acts, and he helped give Kenny Wayne Shepherd some of his first hit records. The band will be recording new, original material.”
